On-loan Manchester United star Brandon Williams scored his second goal in three games for Ipswich Town on Saturday afternoon.

The defender’s 35th-minute contribution helped the side on their way to a 4-2 win over Preston Town, as their sensational run of form – that has them second-placed in the Championship – continues.

It was some goal, too – he carried the ball from his own half to set himself up with a clean strike into the bottom corner.

It comes a week on from Williams’ maiden goal for the club, which was a crucial 87th-minute equaliser to take a point away from home vs Huddersfield Town.

The 23-year-old is flourishing under former United coach Kieran McKenna and it’d be great to see the manager promoted to the top flight next term, just one year after their promotion from League One.

Williams could also earn a place in Erik ten Hag’s squad next season if he continues to impress on his loan spell.
