Roberto De Zerbi will not be the manager of Brighton next season and several clubs are now interested in his services. Although AC Milan have indeed been linked with him, he will not be Stefano Pioli’s replacement, according to a report.

Brighton announced that they will part ways with De Zerbi yesterday and it’s a decision that the manager seemingly didn’t expect. In any case, with the club ending the deal, there will no longer be a release clause to pay for those who are interested in the Italian.

Milan are looking for a manager to replace Pioli and they have been linked with De Zerbi as of late, given that he’s a Rossoneri fan. However, as per today’s edition of Gazzetta dello Sport (see photo below), they have decided to focus on other names.

Paulo Fonseca and Mark van Bommel are reportedly the top targets for now, with Milan set to announce the departure of Pioli in the coming days. Once the Rossoneri have agreed on a severance pay with the manager, they will choose the replacement.

The final game of the season is scheduled for next weekend and the new manager should be announced after that.
